We use your information for our church directory, to send you email notifications (if you so choose), and to schedule you for a volunteer position during church services. Even if you do not register for email correspondence from CUMC, our system may automatically send you an email reminder that you are scheduled for a volunteer position that coming Sunday if you voluntarily provided us your email address.

We also may use your information in one (or a combination) of the following ways:

  • To help improve our services to you or interactions with you through this website.

Before your image or voice is captured while you serve as a worship volunteer, we will make every effort to inform you of the usage of your image and/or voice recording and your ability to restrict such usage. Your image and/or voice may be used on this website, the podcast of church services (which may be downloaded to personal devices), used in email correspondence, news articles, or printed works for or by CUMC. If you wish to restrict your image from being used by CUMC by any of the aforementioned mediums, please inform the church office [LINK].

During Church sponsored function (for example youth group, vacation Bible school, Bible studies, etc) your image and/or voice may be captured and used on this website, email correspondence, news articles, or printed works for or by CUMC. Registration forms will include this statement and your ability to restrict such usage of you and/or family members. You may also restrict such usage at any time online here [LINK].
You may request a photo or video posted to this website in which you are prominently and primarily represented be removed without restricting your image from use in the future. To do so, contact the Technology and Media Director here [LINK].

How we keep your information safe

CUMC has gone to great lengths to keep your personal information safe. Sensitive information, such as credit card information, is never stored at our physical address or online systems.

Our online donation program is powered by Razoo, Inc. which employs the industry standard and regulated safe guards to keep your information safe. This includes using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology by VeriSign and is processed directly on their server. Your financial information is never stored or processed on CUMC’s servers or located in church records.

Use of cookies

Cookies are small bits of information web browsers store on your computer to help improve your experience and interactivity with a website. Cookies are used to stay logged in to this website or for personal information to be displayed. Cookies are able to be restricted or turned off via your browsers settings.
