Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.

-James 5:13-16
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for but the Spirit himself intercedes for us in groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

-Romans 8:26-27

Chatham United Methodist Church is a praying congregation. We lift one another up and bring our joys and concerns before God. We offer the strength and solidarity of prayer to all who seek help, hope and healing.

Please use the Prayer and Praise submission box below to share your prayer or praise. Prayers are then sent to Pastor Miriam, the Prayer Chain, and the congregation over the Sunday program list of prayers. Note, in the program we only list your name.

If you are not ready to share your prayer with the full community, please select "For Pastor Miriam Only" and your request will stay with her.
