Chatham United Methodist Church offers Sunday school for all ages! Every class is facilitated by trained and screened adult staff and volunteers. Sunday school begins at 9:45 AM and ends at 10:30 AM Every Sunday

Children’s Sunday School Classes

Our Children’s classes are using Cokesbury’s Deep Blue Curriculum. With Deep Blue, children will make Bible stories, Bible people, and Bible passages a part of their lives. They will also come to know the Bible as THEIR book and find ways to let the Bible speak to them today! Deep Blue incorporates Bible stories, science activities, arts and crafts, animated video storytelling, and active games into a lived-faith experience that will help children discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ today.

If you’d like to help with our Sunday School ministry, we are looking for teachers, helpers, subs and prep-people! Please talk to Michael Ferguson (Youth and Children’s Minister), Jeremy Peck (Christian Education chair) or any member of the Education Committee, to find out how to help! ALL volunteers with children or youth will undergo a background check and are asked to attend a Teacher Orientation and First Aid/CPR training. Find more information here.

We use the KidCheck system for all youth and children age groups. The Check-in Station is located in the area between the Chatham UMC main entrance and the stairs. If you have not registered or need to update your information, please stop by the station or you can access the website at If you need assistance, please let Michael Ferguson know. The KidCheck system provides valuable child safety information to our leaders as well as serving as our attendance logs for these age groups.
