Preparing to Parent Your Parents/Spouse – (July 2 – August 6)

24bGod has so arranged the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior member, 25that there may be no dissension within the body, but the members may have the same care for one another.  26If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.”                                                I Corinthians 12:24b-26

When one member of the Body of Christ suffers, we know that those who care for that member may suffer, too.  Caregiving is a noble task, a labor of love – but it can also be exhausting, confusing, discouraging and lonely.   Chatham UMC wants to make sure you know you are not alone.

We will host a series for adult children, spouses, and others who find caregiving to be an increasingly prominent part of their lives.  The class will be offered as a Sunday School class (9:30-10:30) in Room U205.  The leader of the series will host an informational session on Sunday, July 2.   While care-givers are in class, care-receivers are invited to enjoy fellowship time and breakfast between services with their church family.    If you are interested in participating, please contact Pastor Sara.
