God has so arranged the body, giving the greater honor to the inferior member, 25 that there may be no dissension within the body, but the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.” (I Cor 12.24b-26)

When one member of the Body of Christ suffers, we know that those who care for that member may suffer, too.  Caregiving is a noble task, a labor of love – but it can also be exhausting, confusing, discouraging and lonely.

Chatham UMC wants you to know you are not alone.  Please join us for a preliminary support gathering on Sunday, June 25, during the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:30am).  The gathering is intended for care-givers (adult children, spouses, and others who find care-giving to be an increasingly prominent part of their lives); care-receivers are invited to enjoy fellowship time and breakfast between services with their church family.

Following this initial gathering, watch for information about a “Prepare to Parent Your Parents/Spouse” class to be offered in July as a Sunday School class (9:30-10:30).  For more information, talk to Pastor Sara.
