On May 7, our congregation will celebrate Commitment Sunday.
We will gather for one service at 9:30am when we will be treated to great preaching from Rev. Robert K. Freeman.
After the service, we will celebrate in the fellowship hall with cake, cupcakes, and a popcorn bar. The reception will feature entertainment from the children’s choir, Heavenly Harmony, sanctuary choir, and the praise band.

Commitment Sunday is a day when members and friends of Chatham UMC prayerfully commit to giving a certain amount of money to church operations over the coming year. Your pledges provide a framework for all we do with missions and outreach, care for the congregation, worship, music, youth, Sunday School, and study groups.

The operations budget keeps the doors open, the staff paid, and the lights on. Commitment Sunday is a cause for celebration because our congregation gives generously to share the gospel and care for people inside and outside the walls of the church.

Our special speaker on May 7 is Rev. Robert K. Freeman, a pastor, preacher, evangelist, and visionary leader who believes his purpose is to demonstrate God’s love for the transformation of the world. Rev. Freeman is a dynamic pastor and teacher who serves Kumler and Grace UMCs in Springfield.

Everything we have comes from God, and giving back a portion to further God’s work on earth through our church is part of the Christian life.  Please pray about your pledge to Chatham UMC for the coming year.

Join us on May 7 beginning at 9:30am for a celebration of generosity.
