For those who would like to contribute to decorations for the church during the Lenten season and Holy Week and/or make a Lenten offering, you may do so now. This is a great opportunity to honor or remember a loved one.

The Lenten offering allows us to provide for the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of children. It will be divided between two projects:

our conference our kidsOur Conference, Our Kids, the Illinois Great Rivers Conference initiative to endow spiritual life programs for kids related to our child welfare agencies, specifically:  Baby Fold (Normal), Chaddock (Quincy), Cunningham (Urbana), Lessie Bates Davis (East St. Louis), and United Methodist Children’s Home (Mount Vernon).

chosen and cherrishedChosen and Cherished Ministries in Haiti, supported by Rob and Jessica Burke, whose dear friend Joyce Trainer is raising ten orphans with specific challenges who have “aged out” of the God’s Littlest Angels orphanage. Your offering will provide the school supplies for these children to be home-schooled in a loving, stable environment.

Your Lenten Offering can be placed in the offering plate any Sunday in Lent, or brought to the church office. Please make your check out to Chatham United Methodist Church and write “Lenten Offering” on the memo line.
