It is hard to believe that this year is passing so quickly.  Once again, for the 15th consecutive year, the United Methodist Women and Chatham UMC are sponsoring the mission project of providing Christmas gifts for the kids at Cunningham Children’s Home, a ministry of The United Methodist Church.  Cunningham is located in Urbana and is a residential treatment center for children and youth with extreme behavioral disorders and learning disabilities. Other programs at Cunningham include transitional living, independent living, a boys’ and girls’ group home, a day school for local kids, and treatment foster care.

Soon we will be receiving the names and one or two gift requests of approximately 100 kids. Anyone who would like to participate in this project is asked to buy any or all of the items on the child’s list and return the gift(s) to the church. Gifts should NOT be wrapped, but the use of gift bags is encouraged.  (Please attach the 3×5 card to the gift.) Gifts must be brought to the church by Sunday, December 7. If you would like the name of a Cunningham child with his or her wish list or if you have any questions, please see Jan Miller or Cathy Henschen. Your support of this UMW project is greatly appreciated.
