We are in an “alignment” stage right now, with regards to our REACH campaign. The Aspen Advisory Team is meeting to re-align our renovation plans to fit our budget, so that we still meet our top priorities, while living within our means.

Our top five priorities remain the same as always:
• Accessibility
• Flow (Narthex)
• Kitchen
• Classrooms/meeting space
• Safety

Our budget reflects the wonderful generosity of the congregation since the REACH campaign was first launched: we have received, or have pledged, about $750,000 toward the renovation project. Church Council has approved moving toward designing a plan that totals between $750,000 and $1,000,000 (including both architectural and actual building costs), that we would pay for in one, or one-and-a-half capital campaigns.

The alignment process is exciting and hopeful, as we move closer and closer to a workable plan that meets our needs, and closer to a date for actual construction. While there are still numerous decisions to be made, contracts to be signed, and votes to be taken, we anticipate possibly welcoming guests into our newly renovated space for Easter of 2016!

As soon as drawings and images are available, we will bring them to you and seek your feedback. Remember that an all-church conference vote will be scheduled in late summer or early fall, to approve the plans for construction, before the project begins. Notice of the church conference will be widely broadcast at least two weeks before the vote takes place.

If you have any questions about the REACH campaign or renovation, or if you would like to make a gift toward the project, please talk to any member of the Aspen Advisory Team, Pastor Sara, or Julie Miller, Chairperson of Church Council.
